01 - THE WAY

Over four decades
Martial arts. And still curious.

My journey in martial arts began more than four decades ago. Since then, I have learned, trained, taught, tested, discarded, and reunderstood.

WingTsun became my central path. But the deeper my understanding became, the greater my curiosity for other perspectives grew.

I wanted to know how other martial arts solve the same fundamental problems:
Distance. Power. Balance. Timing. Control. Movement.

That's why I've repeatedly done something that actually becomes more difficult with growing experience:

to be a student again.

03 - REALLY A STUDENT

The more I knew, the more I wanted to understand .

Whether in Asia, Europe, or America – I have always sought training and exchange with other masters. Not because I questioned my own path, but because I was interested in how other martial arts solve the same fundamental challenges.

I have had the privilege of learning from exceptional teachers. Some encounters lasted for years, others perhaps only a single seminar. What was crucial for me was never the duration, but rather the question: What can I discover here that I haven't seen before?

Because with increasing experience, it becomes easy to see only what one already knows confirmed. Development requires the opposite: remaining open, questioning certainties, and being willing to constantly change perspectives.

Championship and student body are not opposites.

OTHER TEACHERS. OTHER SYSTEMS. OTHER PERSPECTIVES.

MORE THAN TECHNOLOGY. MORE UNDERSTANDING.

04 - TODAY

You don't need more technology. You need the right perspective .

In my training, you won't get a standard program. I'm not interested in how many techniques you know or how long you've been training. I'm interested in what you actually do – and what actually happens as a result.

I often recognize not only that something isn't working, but also why – and where a change would have the greatest impact.

It's often not about more strength, more speed, or another technique. Sometimes it's an angle, a position, a moment, a different distribution of tension or weight that makes the difference.

I analyze what limits your development, make connections visible, and help you understand principles that you can apply to new situations. Because my goal is not for you to copy my actions.

My goal is for you to recognize for yourself what works – and why.

Understanding martial arts.
